“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”  Buddha

There are many paths one can choose to walk when searching for inner peace and higher knowledge.

In my experience, the appearance of various teachers in my life has given direction to my journey. There is no “right” or “wrong” way. Sometimes there is only a vague inner knowing that this is what you need to be doing. Besides the obvious physical benefits, hatha yoga opened the door for me to the blessings of meditation. I have benefited physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually from these practices. Yoga improves your state of being and is suitable for all ages, spiritual persuasions, and levels of physical ability.

Classes:

Howick – Tuesdays and Thursday 5.30pm.
Private sessions can be arranged on request.

I have over 20 years of Iyengar Yoga training, with respected senior teachers, such as Joyce Stuart (Padma),  Stephanie Alexander and Barbara De Jong, as well as attending  intensive yoga workshops with other senior Iyengar teachers.  I incorporate my knowledge of Kinesiology and Energy Medicine to guide one through a gentle yogic experience which includes asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing), and meditation.

I have taught at the Iyengar Institute in Pmb,   Brookdale & Fordoun Spa,  Namaste Wellness Retreats,  Ixopo Buddhist Centre, and have facilitated the yoga for various other workshops, catering for both children and adults.

“I do not know if you have ever noticed that when you give total attention there is complete silence. And in that attention there is no frontier, there is no center, as the ‘me’ who is aware or attentive. That attention, that silence, is a state of meditation” J.Krishnamurti
